POSITION SUMMARY: Assist the Marketing department with administrative duties, including but not limited to, database, online, contracts, project management, bookings and other general office functions. Essentially, the Marketing Coordinator provides administrative support to the Sales & Marketing Department. The Marketing Coordinator needs to be well organized and have excellent communication and administrative skills. Position involves owning the projects assigned, working with teams to generate new ideas, and implementing the changes determined by management while being accountable for the results.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

- Writing one sheets, SOP, ROS (event overviews)
- Obtaining and trafficking artwork from inception to completion
- The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for updating and verifying all content calendars and web images for use of websites and social media sites.
- Responsibility also includes coordinating daily activities of the Marketing Department in order for the department to effectively implement programs as they relate to marketing, public relations and entertainment.
- The Marketing Coordinator should have the ability to coordinate and complete general administrative duties and assist in public relations and marketing activities.
- Assist the Marketing & Sales Department with event ideation and execution.
- Develop and submit for approval internal communications to ensure information is disseminated property-wide for marketing and promotional events. This includes internal documents such as the Marketing Need to Know and Schedule of Events.
- Update the Marketing Department Calendar to coincide with internal communication documents as needed.
- Responsible for handling reservations/bookings and meeting requests that come through the Marketing Department.
- Participate in community programs to develop opportunities to promote a positive image for the company within the community.
- Create, secure approval, and distribute department forms and procedures.
- Keep up to date with social trends and create materials accordingly
- Responsible for creating social media content with the animal department team
- Strong understanding of storytelling, narrative structure, and visual aesthetics

- The Marketing Coordinator will uphold Jungle Island and its partner’s confidentiality clause when it pertains to sensitive information regarding payment, business surveys, promotional material, and vendor contracts.
- He/she will follow and uphold Jungle Island safety standards.
LICENSE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s Degree preferably in, Marketing, Public Relation, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the hospitality field.
SKILLS/APTITUDES:
- Effectively communicate with all levels of employees as well as outside contacts.
- Proof and edit publications for which responsible.
- Review and comprehending all necessary documentation.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel (including formulas).
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal manners.
Physical Demands
- It is a must that this person is physically able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds or more.
- This position may require you to work in adverse weather conditions like rain, cold and the summer heat.
- Must be able to sit for a long period of time.
