Marketing Coordinator
Job Summary
The Marketing Coordinator supports day-to-day marketing execution across assigned hotels, restaurants, attractions, and event venues. Reporting to the Marketing & Brand Manager, this role focuses on organic social media, assisting with content capture and creation, website updates, graphic design and production, project coordination, and administrative support within established brand direction and marketing priorities.
Marketing Coordination
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing initiatives, promotions, packages, events, sales efforts, and seasonal campaigns.
- Assist with maintaining marketing calendars, project timelines, recurring tasks, creative assets, and brand materials.
- Coordinate property requests, vendor and print needs, production schedules, and distribution of marketing materials.
Organic Social Media & Content Creation
- Assist with organic social media content for assigned properties based on approved content calendars and brand standards.
- Capture photography and video at properties, events, and activations and create Reels, Stories, short-form video, basic graphics, and written social content.
- Coordinate with property teams on promotions, menu changes, packages, events, and other content opportunities.
- Maintain organized photo and video libraries and assist with tracking organic social media performance.
- This position does not manage Google or paid Meta campaigns.
Website, Digital & Property Support
- Update website content, promotions, events, imagery, online listings, and routine property information as assigned.
- Support email marketing and prepare, resize, organize, or coordinate digital assets for websites, email, social media, and agency-managed advertising.
- Proofread and quality-check marketing materials before publication.
- Attend designated events, property activations, and content sessions and travel to portfolio properties as assigned for marketing and content support.
Administrative Support
- Maintain organized marketing files, templates, project documentation, and digital asset libraries.
- Track deadlines and assist with workflow management, basic reporting, data entry, and other marketing department projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of marketing, communications, content creation, or social media experience preferred.
- Strong writing, editing, organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Experience with Wordpress websites preferred.
- Experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite preferred; familiarity with social media platforms, website content management systems such as WordPress, and Microsoft Office.
- Basic photography, videography, mobile content creation, and short-form video experience.
- Ability to manage changing priorities across multiple brands and travel periodically.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Senior Marketing & Brand Manager
- Works Closely With: Chief Marketing Officer and Executive Director of Sales & Marketing, property leadership, sales and operations teams, and outside vendors and agency partners
Compensation
- Annual salary: $50,000-$55,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Employee benefits package.
Travel/Work Location
- Work Location: On-site, Petoskey MI
- Will require off-site travel to include occasional overnight stays.
Skills Required
