The Role
Analyze e-commerce sales, revenue, profitability, customer behavior, and marketing-channel performance. Build dashboards, reports, KPIs, forecasts, business cases, tracking requirements, and attribution models. Partner with E-commerce, Business Intelligence, Product, Controlling, and international stakeholders to identify opportunities, explain performance drivers, recommend actions, and support data-driven decisions. Contribute to onsite and app analysis, customer journey analysis, A/B testing, and continuous improvement of marketing analytics services.

What to expect:

  • Reporting: Design dashboards and reports; define meaningful KPIs in close coordination with specialist departments. Identify missing information and work with our MarTech & Data teams to address these needs.

  • Business planning: Support Marketing managers in developing business cases, forecasts and business plans. Assess commercial assumptions and support in explaining deviations between planned and actual performance.

  • Business and marketing analysis: Analyse sales, revenue, profitability and customer behaviour across markets and marketing channels. Explain performance drivers and recommend actions to improve marketing investment, conversion and repeat purchasing.

  • Marketing tracking: Adapt tracking requirements to business needs in collaboration with Business Intelligence and technical teams. Understand data quality and limitations when interpreting results.

  • Attribution: Further develop the assessment of marketing channels’ contribution to business results, accounting for changing data availability and the interaction between channels.

  • Collaboration and stakeholder management: Work closely with E-commerce, EVENTIM Business Intelligence, Product and Controlling. Represent Marketing Intelligence to international EVENTIM companies and partners, communicate findings clearly and support decisions.

  • Data-driven decision-making: Proactively identify business opportunities, challenge assumptions constructively and help stakeholders turn insights into actions and evaluate their impact.

  • Further development: Extend the analytics service in response to business needs and relevant developments, including onsite&app analysis, customer journey analysis and A/B testing.

What you’ll need:

  • Relevant experience in marketing or business analytics, ideally within fast moving e-commerce companies.

  • Strong commercial understanding of how e-commerce companies operate, including revenue drivers, marketing costs and profitability.

  • Practical understanding of digital marketing channels—including search, social, display, affiliates and CRM—and their role in customer acquisition and retention.

  • Structured, analytical approach to business questions, with strong numerical judgement and the ability to derive practical recommendations.

  • Proficiency in analytical and reporting tools, particularly Excel; SQL knowledge is an advantage.

  • Understanding of tracking data and data sources, with the ability to assess whether figures are reliable and conclusions are justified.

  • Very good communication skills and the confidence to explain findings, challenge assumptions and communicate clearly to stakeholders.

  • Self-driven, accurate and pragmatic, with the ability to prioritise by business relevance.

  • Interest in current developments in marketing and e-commerce analytics.

  • Professional working proficiency in English; fluency in German is a strong advantage.

Skills Required
