Description
Bloomsbury Publishing is looking for an organized, creative, and enthusiastic person to join our trade marketing teams as a Marketing Assistant. Supporting the Director of Children’s Marketing and the Marketing Manager for Adult, this person will work on a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction titles across both lists. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and strong multi-tasking skills.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Creates PowerPoints and prepares and distributes presentation materials for internal meetings and meetings with our sales team
- Tracks and executes large-scale marketing department mailings
- Supports marketing campaigns by creating forms, maintaining spreadsheets, and updating presentations
- Participates in team brainstorms and contributes creative ideas for social media content and marketing campaigns for individual titles
- Assists with general marketing department administrative tasks, such as updating and organizing internal databases, coding expenses, and taking notes at meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Detailed-oriented, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Well-versed in social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva a plus
- Internship experience in publishing preferred
Location
All candidates must reside in the NY tri-state area and be able to commute to our NY headquarters on a hybrid-remote schedule.
