Position Summary: The Marketing and Events Coordinator works cooperatively and with independent initiative to advance the mission of the organizations and increase awareness consistent with branding and imaging guidelines. The role balances marketing tasks with substantive public relations efforts to innovate and implement core marketing and communications strategies in support of enhancing the public profile of the organization and keeping it relevant to diverse audiences.

 

Areas of Responsibility:
A.    Public Relations | Social Media 

  1. Develop, promote and maintain a dynamic on-line community to provide awareness of programs and services and cultivate support
  2. Manage social media assets, including campaign ideation and execution, establish a content calendar, and develop fresh/ creative story ideas
  3. Research, compile and maintain active media contact database and relationships
  4. Create and distribute press releases, media relations content, monthly newsletter content
  5. Cultivate and engage new community relationships to increase support through donations, volunteer involvement, and event participation

B.    Marketing Support

  1. Provides writing and/or editing support for organizational collateral materials
  2. Develop creative content messaging, copy writing, and scripts 
  3. Executes design of marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic utilizing Canva
  4. Assist with photographic and audio-visual needs of the organization
  5. Manage and organizes email marketing database and campaigns utilizing Constant Contact
  6. Manage website design and operation utilizing WIX
  7. Brief Director/Chief of department on design, copy, image, and content needs for promotional and fundraising literature and activities
  8. Act as brand steward, upholding brand standards and consistency in all projects, representing Ann Storck Center to the public 
C.    Event Support
  1. Assist with executing events from strategy through execution
  2. Manage and maintain relationships with volunteer groups, coordinate special on-campus volunteer initiatives/projects 
  3. Arrange needs for events using a creative mindset and working well with others
  4. Maintain timeline of needs apply creativity for different/new ideas
  5. Manage multiple projects at once and keep each project organized
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university
  2. One (1) year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Effective problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
  4. Excellent administrative, and organizational skills.
  5. Computer literate (Microsoft Office & Google Workspace)
  6. Must be able to effectively communicate with team in a professional manner both written and verbally.
  7. Highly organized and able to professionally interact with employees, donors, supervisors, representatives of vendors and agents of companies.
  8. Experience with Canva, donor management software (DonorPerfect preferred), Email-Marketing (Constant Contact preferred), and social media platforms experience (Instagram. Facebook, LinkedIn).
  9. Comfortable with community outreach and strong internal and external communication skills.
 

WORKING CONDITIONS: Primary duties are on-site. May be required to work evenings and/or weekends for special events and to meet deadlines.

    4. Ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff, exercising effective problem-solving, reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
    5. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies to include, but not limited to, pens, pencils, calculators, computer keyboards, telephone, etc.
    6. A moderately sedentary position requiring computer and telephone work.

Skills Required

  • Comfortable with community outreach and cultivating community relationships
