Job Summary
The Marketing & Communications Manager leads local outreach, patient engagement and public relations for MMHC. This position develops and manages the organization's marketing plan and efforts to promote its mission, providers and grow its services. Acting as the primary storyteller, brand champion and media liaison, this position is key to building trust and strong ties with the community, local businesses and staff at MMHC.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages the Marketing & Foundation Coordinator and Employee Community Committee.
Strategic Marketing & Brand Management:
- Develop & implement a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan to promote the organization's mission, programs and services.
- Design and execute data-driven marketing campaigns to promote specific service lines.
- Maintain visual and print brand consistency across all departments, signage promotional materials and internal documents. Ensure consistency and alignment with MMHC's values and mission.
- Analyze local healthcare demographic and patient migration patterns and work with leadership teams to identify opportunities for service growth.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve goals.
Public Relations & Communication:
- Serves as a liaison/spokesperson with local newspapers, radio stations and press. Draft and distribute appropriate press release materials.
- Collaborate with leadership team to draft timely and accurate messaging both internally and externally as directed.
- Create compelling messaging and content across various channels, including digital media, print materials and events.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to execute marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Coordinates community events, supports facility activities, and tours as appropriate.
- Participates in appropriate professional and community committees.
Content Creation & Digital Media:
- Oversee content calendar, growth and community engagement across Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and local digital platforms.
- Manages website updates, search engine optimizations and user experience metrics to keep patient portals and information accessible.
- Writes, edits and produces compelling internal and external communications, reports, patient testimonials, videos and educational brochures.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of progressive experience in marketing or public relations.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing marketing strategies, preferably in the nonprofit or healthcare sectors.
- Exceptional written, editorial and verbal communication skills.
- Technical proficiency with content management systems, email marketing tools and social media schedulers.
- Willingness to attend occasional evening and weekend meetings and community events.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a healthcare organization preferred.
- Familiarity with the organization's service area.
- Expertise in data analytics, digital marketing and project management, to guide teams, interpret trends, and execute effective, data-driven strategies.
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance regarding patient privacy and photography in marketing materials.
Computer Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), secure messaging applications and collaborative tools (Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva). Proficiency with Paycom HRIS system and related computer software necessary for this position.

Meeker Memorial Hospital & Clinics is a 25-bed, county-owned community hospital located in Litchfield, Minnesota. It operates a main facility and clinics in Litchfield and Dassel, providing high-quality, patient-centered health care services to the residents of Meeker County.
