Market Technology Project Manager

We are seeking a  derivatives specialist to lead on the development of the BondVision Interest Rate Swaps (IRS) trading platform to complement the existing D2C offering across Rates, Credit and Repo. This key role is crucial in supporting the MTS growth strategy for its BondVision platform and sits within the Product Development team based in MTS’s London office.

This position requires a blend of strategic vision, market insight, and technical/functional proficiency to ensure that MTS’s derivatives offering is competitive and meets the demands of key stakeholders across the market.

Key elements of the function include the ability to effectively gather regulatory and business needs and define legal, technical and reporting requirements, as well as clearly communicate and present new developments in a variety of settings.

The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organised, and process-driven, with excellent follow-through capabilities. They should be a clear communicator who can effectively coordinate between clients and internal teams, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate records. A genuine interest in fixed income markets and electronic trading platforms is essential, and in particular derivatives. Any prior experience in financial services product development operations would be beneficial.

Key responsabilities:
 

• Defining and executing the strategic roadmap for derivatives trading products, ensuring alignment with the company’s objectives and market trends.
• Maintaining strong awareness of the competitive landscape.
• Identifying commercial opportunities, and accurately interpreting client and dealer requests and regulatory impacts.
• Taking ownership of the management of regulatory applications, and ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained throughout the life of the product, working closely with the business and operations teams.
• Working closely with key stakeholders – internal and external, to gather requirements, prioritize features, drive product initiatives and promote product adoption.
• Working with the technology team to deliver the necessary developments both at protocol level for easy integration by participants and at front end trading level for ease of use by customers. Including analytics and reporting requirements across the relevant systems and solutions.
• Working closely with the sales team to support both internally and externally in communication with and to our members.
• Supporting the marketing team in the creation of content relevant for client presentations, marketing literature, conferences and the MTS social outlets and website.
• Analyse product performance metrics, user feedback, and market data to inform continuous improvement and innovation.
• Representing MTS in industry forums and conferences.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in product management or business development within the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on derivatives and/or trading platforms.
• Strong understanding of trading systems, market structure, and the financial instruments underlying derivatives.
• Strong operational mindset with excellent attention to detail and process management abilities
• Team player with proven ability to collaborate across departments and contribute innovative ideas for process improvement

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Advanced understanding of IRS, Fixed Income trading platforms, and financial markets required
• Familiarity with important vendors in the IRS ecosystem including MarkitWire, Traiana, and Anna-DSB. Ability to analyse complex market data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Finance, or related field
