As the Market Segment Manager you will drive Global business and customer engagement across at least one Dexmet Market or Customer segment, including Lightning Strike Protection, Power Technologies, and Industrial/Automotive Technologies. This is a remote role that comes with up to 50% travel. You will report to the Senior Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve mutual growth within each customer to allow the attainment of sustainable sales and margin-to-budget
Own the customer relationship and develop and deliver customer-specific value proposition that enables growth within existing accounts and captures new opportunities within target accounts
Understand products, existing and potential product capabilities, and operations capabilities (balancing customer want, customer need, production ability, production capacity)
Partner with Manufacturing/Operations to ensure product manufacturing meets customer expectations
Understand the customer's business growth agenda important areas of focus.
Deliver top-line revenue and overall gross margin by growing within existing accounts
Attain new business through leads and prospect qualifying to close
Manage ongoing contract adherence
Proactively sell product innovation
Deliver accurate sales forecasts by customer
Develop annual growth plans and operating profit margin targets for all products and oversee sales efforts to meet them
Drive new business growth and product development in current and new market segments using internal and external data.
Maintain working relationship with Operations to meet sales forecasts and sales order requirements
Establish and promote the Engineered Materials Platform as a world leader in expanded materials
Ensure that Terms and Conditions of new proposals and contracts conform to Company policy
Use CRM system (Clientlink/Salesforce) maintained by Project Managers and staff to make sure all information is complete and up to date
Manage the Opportunity Module for reporting on Opportunity Sales Funnels and Forecast projections.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in Marketing, Engineering, Management or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing, specifically with Engineering, and/or Manufacturing Management, Aviation technical sales
Technical knowledge and the ability to communicate technical information to various audiences
Ability to travel up to 50%
