An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Market Risk Manager to join the growing team at Optiver Singapore. To keep us at the forefront of an ever-changing trading environment, you’ll create and improve our current risk framework and monitoring tools. You’ll analyse risk and market data to solve practical problems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
As a Market Risk Manager, you will:
- Monitor and analyse market risks of our trading positions in all relevant markets & asset classes, with a focus on Fixed Income, Currencies, Commodities
- Develop and enhance risk models to assess exposures, stress scenarios, and tail risks
- Partner with traders to understand trading strategies, identify potential risk factors, and provide real-time risk insights
- Collaborate with quantitative researchers and developers to improve risk analytics and automation
- Evaluate and refine risk limits, ensuring they are aligned with market conditions and trading objectives
- Stay informed on macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes, and market developments
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Strong experience in market risk, trading risk, or a related role, ideally within a proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, or financial institution
- Experience risk managing power trading
- Proficiency in risk and data analytics, and visualization tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau)
- Strong problem-solving skills with a quantitative and analytical mindset
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with traders, quants, and risk teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where adaptability is key
