Position Summary:
We seek a Market Research Specialist to support the development of the SmartPay master contract. This role will involve comprehensive market research focused on banking and financial services, fintech, industry trends, product pricing, and rewards programs, emphasizing data analysis and security considerations. The successful candidate will gather, analyze, and interpret data to provide insights that inform decision-making, enabling the agency to stay competitive and innovative in the financial services market.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research on banking and financial services, focusing on emerging fintech solutions and innovative industry practices.
  • Analyze and report on industry trends and innovations relevant to the SmartPay program, providing insights into how current developments impact the contract.
  • Research and evaluate product and service pricing models within the financial services sector to inform cost-effective and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Investigate various rewards and benefits plans (e.g., dining rewards, cashback programs) to identify opportunities for enhancing value through the SmartPay contract.
  • Assess the use of data within the financial services industry, examining how data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence can be leveraged within the SmartPay program.
  • Support research on security trends and requirements to ensure compliance with industry standards and protect sensitive financial information.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on findings, providing actionable recommendations to the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Market Research, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in market research, preferably within the financial services or banking sector.
  • Familiarity with fintech, industry trends, and innovative solutions in banking and financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of security best practices within financial services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
