About the role
Strategic Gears is looking for a Market Research Manager to join the team in Cairo. You will own the research function end-to-end — setting methodology standards, leading primary data collection, and translating findings into actionable insights that drive client strategy. Beyond hands-on research, you will lead and develop a team of researchers, oversee fieldwork quality, and act as a senior point of contact for clients on research scope and deliverables.
What you will do
- Lead the design of research methodologies, questionnaires, and discussion guides aligned to client objectives
- Own primary data collection and oversee fieldwork execution to ensure data quality and on-time delivery
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of research associates, allocating workload across projects
- Track market trends, developments, and competitive activity to shape research direction and insights
- Direct qualitative and quantitative analysis, ensuring accuracy and analytical rigor across deliverables
- Translate findings into clear reports, market assessments, and presentations for senior stakeholders
- Partner with consulting teams and clients to scope research needs and integrate findings into broader strategies
- Set and uphold research standards, tools, and best practices across the function
what you will bring
- Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field; Master's a plus
- 8–10 years in market research, business consulting, or data analysis, preferably in a consulting environment
- Proven experience managing research teams, multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets into actionable recommendations
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients and senior stakeholders
- Proficiency with market research tools/databases (e.g., Gartner, Statista), Excel, and data visualization tools
- High attention to detail and a track record of accurate, comprehensive reporting
- Fluent in both English and Arabic
Skills Required
- Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- Master's degree
- 8-10 years in market research, business consulting, or data analysis
- Preferably experience in a consulting environment
- Proven experience managing research teams, multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to interpret large datasets into actionable recommendations
