Job Title: Market Fundamentals Intern

POSITION PURPOSE:
This is a temporary, non-exempt position reporting to the Director, Market Strategy & Fundamentals. The Market Fundamentals Intern will be responsible for conducting energy market data analysis and research in support of KCE’s market fundamentals function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizing and processing energy market data across a variety of formats and platforms (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Orennia ION, FERC EQR)
Supporting data analysis and interpretation of key trends
Assisting in the preparation of PowerPoint slide decks and research presentations
Contribute to the creation and updates of price and revenue curves
All other duties as required
WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
Familiarity with U.S. power and gas markets a plus
Advanced data analysis skills in Excel and similar formats
Coding ability (e.g., SQL, Python) a plus
Familiarity with nodal analysis software (e.g., DAYZER) a plus
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of working on a computer
