We’re hiring a Market Director to grow our ticketing business and oversee its daily operations. In this role, you’ll define and execute a strategic roadmap to achieve goals across our Youth, Club & High School business unit. You’ll unlock value by turning fan attention into revenue, from the tickets fans buy to the ads they see on Hudl’s streams.
As a Market Director, Ticketing, you’ll:
- Drive strategy and execution. You’ll develop a strategic roadmap for Hudl’s ticketing market. You’ll prioritize opportunities based on fan reach, event volume and revenue potential to make sure we see the value we promised from our investments.
- Boost revenue and profitability. You’ll manage the P&L for ticketing to meet our financial goals. That means creating smart pricing strategies, setting sales targets and building revenue forecasts across ticketing services.
- Construct the pitch. You’ll shape the offer, pricing, packaging and value story for each type of customer, then turn it into a repeatable motion the broader sales org can run.
- Expand the market and engage customers. You’ll grow relationships with schools, clubs, leagues, governing bodies and partners. You’ll lead negotiations to secure ticketing agreements and sales that reach more fans.
- Make it real. You’ll own implementation end to end, so signed plans get delivered and customers realize the value we promised, not just the strategy on paper.
- Lead and develop teams. You’ll mentor and train Hudlies, helping onboard and develop individuals across the broader team. You’ll also work with Product, Engineering, Sales and Finance to align everyone around our ticketing roadmap.
Time spent collaborating with other teammates in-office will be an integral part of your work. This role is open to candidates based in Lincoln, NE, and requires three days in the office per week.
Must-Haves- Industry experience. You have five or more years of sales experience in the sports technology industry with a strong track record of high performance.
- A revenue builder. You’ve driven revenue growth, managed a P&L and expanded into new markets, ideally across ticketing products.
- A collaborative leader. You know how to manage internal alignment, guide teams toward critical goals and influence people to adopt new ways of working.
- A strategic problem solver. You excel at cross-functional problem-solving and can build creative solutions when there’s no clear precedent.
- An excellent communicator. You’re comfortable translating complex data into practical, actionable recommendations for leadership.
- A skilled negotiator. You have hands-on experience negotiating contracts and building strategic partnerships with third parties.
- Deep industry background. You have 10 or more years of relevant experience in the sports technology or ticketing industry.
- Strong professional network. You’ve already built strategic relationships with schools, clubs, leagues, governing bodies and partners.
- Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
- Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
- Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
- Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
- Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
- Cover your medical insurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
- Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that’s free money. We’ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.
The base salary range and on-target earnings (OTE) for this role are displayed below. Typically, the total compensation will fall within the middle of the OTE band.
Our compensation decisions are based on an individual's experience, skills and education in line with our internal pay equity practices.
Final compensation will depend on your performance against quotas outlined in your Individual Sales Plan (ISP) upon hire.
This role will also be eligible for a long-term incentive (LTI) award. Any bonuses awarded are based on individual and company performance paid at Hudl's discretion.
