About the Role:

Intelliguard is looking for a Market Development Associate to join our growing commercial team.

This is a hands-on developmental role for someone early in their career who wants to build deep expertise in hospital pharmacy, healthcare technology, and commercial development. Unlike a traditional BDR role, this position starts with the customer. You’ll work alongside Implementation, Customer Success, Product, Support, and Sales, including time onsite during hospital implementations and go-lives. That firsthand experience will help you understand pharmacy workflows, customer challenges, and how Intelliguard creates value.

You’ll also support new business development by researching target accounts, conducting outbound outreach, qualifying opportunities, and helping create new conversations for the Sales team.

The ideal candidate understands hospital pharmacy, is curious and comfortable with customers, and is energized by innovation and change. You should be willing to ask why things are done a certain way, help customers consider new approaches, and learn how to turn real operational challenges into commercial opportunities.

This role is designed to develop into a future position in Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, or another customer-facing function.

What You'll Be Doing:Learn the Business and Support Customers

  • Support implementation preparation, testing, deployment, training, documentation, and coordination.
  • Help customers transition to new workflows and technology.
  • Partner with Implementation, Product, Support, and Customer Success to address routine customer needs.
  • Support demonstrations, customer visits, conferences, and other field activities.
Support Market Development
  • Research target health systems and accounts.
  • Identify and engage stakeholders across Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations.
  • Conduct outbound outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn.
  • Follow up on leads, qualify opportunities, and schedule discovery meetings for Sales.
  • Use firsthand customer knowledge to make outreach relevant and credible.
  • Communicate the why change, why now, and why Intelliguard story.
  • Maintain accurate prospect and activity information in HubSpot.
  • Bring market and customer insights back to Sales, Marketing, and Product.

  • Familiarity with medication inventory, preparation, replenishment, or distribution workflows.
  • Curious, coachable, and eager to understand both technology and customer workflows.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and building credibility with pharmacists, technicians, clinicians, and administrators.
  • Energized by innovation and willing to challenge established ways of working.
  • Organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Able to thrive in a growth-stage environment where responsibilities may span functions.
  • Motivated by building something new rather than following an established playbook.
  • Interest in developing a career in Sales, Customer Success, Implementation, or another customer-facing role.
  • CRM experience, including HubSpot, is helpful but not required.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to customer locations
What Success Looks Like:Within the first 6–12 months, you should be able to:

  • Build credibility with hospital pharmacy customers.
  • Support product demos and early-stage customer conversations.
  • Conduct informed outbound prospecting based on real customer needs.
