Bungie is seeking a Principal Product Manager to join the Marathon team to help drive the strategy and data-informed iterations for the game's economy, progression systems, and social features. As part of cross-functional leadership team that owns these player experiences, you will partner closely with Design, Production, Analytics, and User Research, to plan and deliver top-notch experiences that engage and delight our players.
Using data, product expertise, user testing, and creative solutions, you'll inform product development with a keen sense of critical product KPI’s and game health. You will report to the Director of Product Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define goals, strategy, and requirements to drive Marathon's product performance across in-game economy, progression systems, and social features
- Partner with domain leadership to prioritize roadmap, ensuring the optimal features are implemented to maximize long-term product performance
- Model and assess impact to player engagement, deploying learnings to continuously tune and improve the game economy and feature engagement
- Own, track, and report on metrics and KPIs that measure and reflect player experience and product goals
- Collaborate with Analytics to build hypotheses, define needs for telemetry, dashboard, and analyses
- Collaborate with User Research to define user testing and consumer insights research needs
- Apply insights from competitive research to improve our feature development
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience in economy management and feature development in live service games
- Social intelligence, great interpersonal skills, and empathy for creative teams
- Proven business acumen with strategic and analytical capabilities, using data to inform decisions
- Effective understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and scientific methods
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to lead cross-team initiatives across marketing, game development, and team leadership
- Experience motivating, leading, and inspiring highly skilled teams and team members
- Deep passion for games and ability to evaluate and break down the components of what makes a successful live game
