Job Title: Manufacturing Test Engineer -ICT& FP
Job Function: Manufacturing Test Engineering
Job Overview:
The Manufacturing Test Engineer – ICT & Flying probe test (MTE-ICT&FP) develops, implements, and maintains engineering methods, procedures, instructions, and systems of Unigen ICT & Flying Probe Test equipment. MTE-ICT & FP estimates manufacturing cost, determines manufacturing requirements and coordinates the release of new and/or existing ICT services. Reports to Director, Manufacturing Engineering Operations Located in Newark, CA.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain ICT & Flying Probe Test process and programming for all Unigen products and customers
- Develop and implement ICT & Flying Probe Test programs in accordance with product specifications, and quality standards (production flow, shop floor control, assembly methods, production equipment, timeline, test coverage, etc.)
- Provide engineering support, troubleshooting, and assistance for ICT & Flying Probe Test equipment, fixtures, procedures, and software used within the manufacturing process.
- Assist the Engineering team in improving Unigen’s system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control, and training.
- Design, develop, test, and/or source various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods related to ICT & Flying Probe Test
2. Coordinate the testing and release of new products with design, product engineering, quotation manager, and customer
- Analyze, plan, and present engineering solutions for ICT & Flying Probe Test operations covering the areas of ICT & Flying Probe Test quoting, DFT reports, ICT & Flying Probe Test program generation, and fixture debug/setup
- Create manufacturing labor and NRE quote related to ICT & Flying Probe Test
3. Manage and maintain ICT & Flying Prove test equipment
- Design, implement, and carry out calibration and preventative maintenance processes to ensure the integrity of test equipment
- Upgrade and maintain the ICT & Flying Probe Test tester
- Design and order tooling and fixtures required for ICT & Flying Probe Test operations
- Perform IQ/OQ and OQ upon new test fixture/equipment receive
4. Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
- Create, update, and maintain all test documents including Test Process instructions, debug/RMA test guidelines/matrix, test set-up and operation documents
- Perform reject verification and analysis to provide feedback to Quality, Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, and Design Engineering for the purpose of product and process improvement
- Perform DFT analysis report and communicate test design guidelines
- Create and publish test instructions and procedures
- Review ICT/Flying Probe test yield on a timely basis and feedback/stop line encounter for the high reject
- Continuous improve test coverage and debug accuracy
5. Provide engineering support and share technical expertise cross-functionally
- Perform ICT & Flying Probe Test process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, test coverage, false call reduction and improved efficiency
- Troubleshoot any issues related to ICT & Flying Probe Test tester, fixtures, or test fallout
- Actively participate in the failure investigation and analysis of test results and the appropriate corrective actions
- Provide training to production supervisors, leads, and operators and test set-up for all product releases
Other duties and responsibilities related to ICT & Flying Probe Tests as assigned.
Required Education and Work Experience:
- Minimum BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field;
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in ICT & Flying Probe Test development.
Skills Required
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in ICT and Flying Probe Test development
- Experience developing and implementing ICT and Flying Probe test programs
- Experience with test fixture design, calibration, preventative maintenance, and IQ/OQ/OQ procedures
- Experience performing DFT analysis, test program generation, and failure analysis
