Manufacturing Supervisor (Foundry Operations)

Work Arrangement: Onsite, rotating shifts (6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a)

What you’ll do
● Operational Leadership: Supervise day-to-day foundry operations ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production processes across multiple shifts. You will be hands-on, spending approximately 60% of your time on the floor and 40% in the office.
● Team Development: Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and production employees to build a high-performing, engaged workforce. Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning to maintain strong employee relations.
● Production Management: Plan, coordinate, and monitor labor and resources to meet production schedules and operational targets. Daily tasks include conducting shift-start safety talks, delegating work, and sending end-of-shift reports outlining safety, production, and equipment status.
● Continuous Improvement: Apply Lean manufacturing principles and structured problem-solving to identify root causes, improve processes, and sustain operational improvements. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve operational challenges.
● Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture. Maintain vigilance on safety and PPE compliance throughout shifts.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
● 5+ years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing environments such as foundry, construction, mining, or heavy industrial sectors
● Proven experience working in a unionized workforce environment
● Strong knowledge and application of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
● Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, engaged approach
Nice-to-haves:
● Post-secondary education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field
● Green Belt Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement training
● Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle for production tracking and reporting
● Previous foundry operations experience
