ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Manufacturing Supervisor at Biofire, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day to day of our shift one production operations team (Monday - Friday starting at 8am). We are looking for someone who is an accountable leader that can motivate and guide the team while ensuring our production targets, schedules and quality standards are met.
To succeed you will need to be able to mentor and guide the team, build schedules, optimize resources and communicate effectively through written and verbal communications to your team and other cross-functional teams. You will need to be a manager that leads by example and is eager to help Biofire meet our manufacturing and production goals. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include:

Oversee Production Operations: This position will be managing the first shift of the day and on-site at our facility 5 days per week and occasionally on the weekends or in the evenings as necessary. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities on the production floor, ensuring that production targets, schedules, and quality standards are met;

Team Management and Mentorship: Lead and support a team of production workers, provide training and guidance, set performance goals, and conduct regular evaluations. You will need to work with employees to resolve technical and personnel challenges, including issue resolution, root cause investigations and corrective action tracking.

Ensure Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure that the team adheres to all OSHA and company safety standards to minimize workplace hazards;

Quality Control and Reporting: Monitor product quality during and after production. Coordinate with quality control teams to catch and resolve issues quickly to avoid defects. Keep accurate records of production data, including output, quality issues, and equipment performance, and report to upper management as required.

Scheduling and Workflow Coordination: Organize work schedules and shift rotations to ensure that the production line runs smoothly without interruptions.

Manufacturing Experience: Previous experience working in a manufacturing and production environment with a minimum of two years in a supervisory role;

Experience in a safety-critical industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or similar fields) is strongly preferred;

Leadership Background: Strong leadership abilities, with a proven track record of effectively managing and mentoring production teams in a fast-paced environment. You will be measured by hitting delivery goals, so ensuring your team is setup appropriately to meet those deliverables will be required;

Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to interface with executives, team members and other leaders on a daily basis;

Technical and Safety Requirements: Familiarity with various manufacturing processes, machinery and production equipment. Understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations (such as OSHA compliance).

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day), often in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

The compensation range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000/annual salary + stock options + benefits.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
LOCATION
This is a full-time, salaried role. Our dog-friendly, state-of-the-art headquarters is located in beautiful Broomfield, Colorado, between Boulder and Denver. The team regularly engages in collaborative in-person sessions at our vibrant office space, but you will be offered the flexibility to work from home as needed.
