Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Program Execution

  • Support the Manufacturing Program Management team in achieving manufacturing cost, quality, schedule, and delivery objectives.
  • Independently manage assigned projects, program workstreams, production initiatives, or deliverables within a larger manufacturing program.
  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and executing integrated manufacturing plans, production schedules, and program milestones.
  • Monitor manufacturing performance and identify risks, constraints, and opportunities that may affect production commitments.
  • Maintain program action items, risks, issues, decisions, and mitigation plans using established program management tools and processes.
  • Coordinate follow-up activities across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, Contracts, and external manufacturing partners.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program status, performance metrics, forecasts, risks, and recovery actions to the Manufacturing Program Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional program meetings, document decisions and action items, and ensure owners complete assigned actions.
  • Support production readiness activities from prototype development through full-rate production.
  • Coordinate production readiness reviews and help confirm that materials, processes, documentation, tooling, fixtures, test systems, and resources are prepared to support production.
  • Help ensure engineering changes, product revisions, and manufacturing documentation, including bills of material, routings, work instructions, and test procedures, are incorporated into production plans.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Planning teams to monitor material availability and alignment with production demand.
  • Assist Manufacturing and Supply Chain leadership in identifying bottlenecks and coordinating capacity, material, or schedule recovery plans.
  • Support Operations PMO governance processes and provide accurate, timely program updates.
  • Participate in manufacturing scale-up, operational growth, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to support improvements in throughput, cycle time, quality, cost, and inventory performance.
  • Provide program leadership and decision support in the Manufacturing Program Manager’s absence or as delegated.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong organizational and execution skills with the ability to translate plans into coordinated action.
  • A results-oriented approach with a willingness to take ownership of assigned work.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • An effective communicator who can work across technical and nontechnical teams.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Sound judgment regarding when to resolve issues independently and when to escalate risks or decisions.
  • An interest in developing broader manufacturing program leadership capabilities.
  • A commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of relevant experience supporting manufacturing programs, production operations, supply chain initiatives, project management, or program management in a technology, industrial, aerospace, defense, electronics, or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional manufacturing projects, production activities, or program deliverables.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or executing manufacturing schedules, production plans, and project or program milestones.
  • Experience tracking cost, schedule, quality, delivery, risks, actions, and performance metrics.
