What you'll do:
- Own overall plant operations (production, material handling, inventory, and logistics) to meet throughput, quality, and profitability targets.
- Lead safety culture: conduct/oversee daily safety meetings, enforce ARC 100 and company safety programs, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements, including environmental and labor regulations.
- Plan and direct daily operations; monitor workflow and KPIs; identify and implement operational improvements and cost savings.
- Oversee maintenance and reliability: ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed, coordinate repairs and downtime planning, and verify maintenance documentation.
- Supervise, coach, and develop plant personnel; manage scheduling, timekeeping, attendance, performance feedback, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Communicate routinely with Area Manager, Sales, and Dispatch regarding inbound/outbound materials, quantities, trucking needs, and upcoming work.
- Support customer and vendor relationships; ensure product availability and service meet expectations.
- Maintain accurate reporting and documentation; stay current through training and industry best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
- Experience: 3+ years in aggregate recycling operations or other process/production environment (5+ years and crushing plant equipment experience preferred)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time at conveyor belt operation.
- Ability to climb heights of 20 feet on a regular basis.
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in dusty, wet, and loud environment.
- Required to wear safety equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, goggles, steel toed boots, ear plugs, gloves and various other similar items as required or needed.
