Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join their team in Auburn or Puyallup, WA. This position is available for 2nd or 3rd shift. The shift and location will be determined at the time of offer.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our dynamic manufacturing environment, supporting various Manufacturing Business Units (MBUs). They will be passionate about leading teams and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Oversee and guide a talented team engaged in multiple manufacturing disciplines, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
- Strategic Development: Formulate and implement comprehensive business plans, policies, and procedures while crafting innovative organizational and technical strategies
- Resource Acquisition & Technical Oversight: Secure necessary resources, manage supplier relationships, and lead initiatives for continuous process improvement
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to ensure alignment and success
- Technical Approval & Oversight: Provide expert oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes to ensure quality and efficiency
- Employee Development: Inspire, mentor, and motivate employees, driving their professional growth and enhancing team performance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
- 1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
- 1+ years of experience with developing and documenting processes
- Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Demonstrated adaptability when faced with new challenges
- Ability to motivate, inspire, and forge connections when under pressure
- Passion for celebrating successes and ability to effect "small wins" for the team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
