Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Facility Manager to join our team in New Orleans, LA. This position will oversee the functionality, safety, maintenance, and efficiency of building and grounds, ensuring an optimal working environment. Key duties include managing vendor contracts, supervising maintenance staff, handling repairs, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with EHS regulations. As well as leading and integrating multiple functions including facility operations, engineering, quality, and safety.
Position Responsibilities:
- Building Operations and Maintenance:
- Manage and perform routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance for all Tools, Equipment, and Facility capabilities.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all EHS standards.
- Vendor Management:
- Oversee contracts and contractors that provide services for cleaning, tool maintenance, building repairs, etc.
- Factory Utilization:
- Control and coordinate factory movement, space utilization, renovations, and area readiness.
- Staff Supervision:
- Oversee on-site maintenance, facility, Tooling, and readiness teams.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Previous experience in building management, facilities maintenance, or related field
- Understanding of factory maintenance processes and procedures
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills to manage diverse teams and projects
- Proven ability to manage projects and vendor relationships
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- SLS facility knowledge and NASA integration experience.
- SLS facility knowledge and SLS tooling knowledge.
- 3+ years of Leadership experience
- 5+ years of project management experience
Safety Sensitive:
This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
NASA Access:
This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility
