Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the manufacturing engineering team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and maintenance to ensure seamless operations.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Manage engineering projects from conception through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Provide technical expertise and support to resolve manufacturing issues and implement solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
- Train and mentor engineering staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead teams effectively.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
