This role provides strategic leadership for the manufacturing engineering function by developing talent, strengthening cross-functional partnerships, and advancing initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate combines a strong engineering foundation with proven people leadership experience and a track record of driving operational improvements and cost reduction initiatives. Success in this role requires the ability to develop teams, influence across functions, and balance strategic priorities with day-to-day execution.

Based in our Middleton and Mazomanie facilities, this position oversees four engineering leaders and provides indirect leadership to approximately 40 members of the manufacturing engineering team. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will play a key role in shaping the future of our manufacturing operations while fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee development.

Representative Responsibilities:
• Leads manufacturing engineering to drive cross-functional collaboration across departments, teams, and locations, ensuring aligned and efficient operations
• Oversees the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency
• Oversees the design and implementation of manufacturing process & equipment in all plants
• Oversees and leads the release of new products
• Oversees manufacturing engineering tools and standards
• Oversees manufacturing engineering projects, tooling and test fixtures
• Ensures test fixtures and related equipment go through appropriate approvals (including facilities and H&S) before implementation or purchase
• Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work together cohesively
• Other duties as assigned
• Special projects and requests are completed in a timely and positive fashion.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Monitors budget
• Regulates the amount of spending
• Manages the month-to-month expenditures
• Coordinates and collaborates with other departments of the company in establishing and carrying out responsibilities
• Develop and maintain positive communication between department and other departments.
• Performs the hiring, orientation, training, performance management, career development, and overall employee development of department personnel.
• Formulates, implements & reviews ISO procedures related to the department
• Instructs employees about procedures and work instructions
• Informs management team about company/departmental plans and progress
• Maintains reporting on all department activities
• Continue to monitor efficiency in the department and make improvements where appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Demonstrated ability to manage a manufacturing engineering team
• Demonstrated ability leading cross functional teams
• 5-10 years related work experience
• Knowledge of company policies
• Motivation and leadership skills
• Excellent communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Computer skills
