Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electrical Infrastructure division in Mascoutah, IL.

Responsibilities

What Will You Do?

· Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and production methods.

· Lead manufacturing improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality, capacity, and cost reduction.

· Analyze production processes and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement.

· Lead root cause investigations for manufacturing and quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.

· Support Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews for new and existing products.

· Develop and validate tooling, fixtures, automation solutions, and manufacturing systems.

· Conduct process capability studies, equipment qualifications, and process validations.

· Manage engineering change implementation and maintain manufacturing documentation.

· Participate in capital equipment selection, installation, and startup activities.

· Collaborate with quality, maintenance, operations, supply chain, and product development teams.

· Train and mentor production personnel.

· Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Manage TPM activities, equipment spare parts, and maintenance contractor relationships to maintain reliable and efficient facility operations.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, , Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.


Experience

· Minimum 3 to 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

· Experience leading process improvement projects.

· Experience with manufacturing automation and CAD systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Thorough understanding of manufacturing engineering principles and production systems.

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities.

· Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.

· Working knowledge of process validation and statistical analysis techniques.

· Effective leadership and mentoring abilities.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
