Essential Job Functions:
Promote safety and identify opportunities for improvements in worker safety throughout the facility.
Determine and review all manufacturing processes for effectiveness and feasibility.
Evaluate efficiencies, machine capabilities and limitations, process improvements, production cost reduction, and increased throughput opportunities.
Work closely with production team members to solve problems and continuously improve processes.
Investigates, suggests, and implements cost saving projects or value-added engineering projects. Assist with work cell layouts, analyzes and designs layout of equipment.
Work closely with Product Engineering team members to alter product designs for improved manufacturability.
Manage execution of manufacturing engineering projects to ensure on-time and on-budget performance for capital expenditure projects.
Assist with evaluation of capital equipment justification calculations.
Assist with developing production time estimation calculations based on validation data collected from current processes.
Present findings of a time study or other type of analysis to management that is clear and concise using verbal, written, and visual materials.
Assist Tool & Die department with manufacturing improvements.
Assist maintenance department with equipment upgrade, installation, and repair projects.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience in analyzing production times and crew size requirements based on workflows, time studies, and throughput analyses.
Metal manufacturing, powder coating, and material handling process improvement experience Experience using ERP systems (SAP or similar)
Project management experience desired
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong time management and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and to promote Continuous Improvement Self-driven and results oriented 2D CAD and/or 3D Solid Modeling experience required
Education and Experience:
BS Degree in an engineering field required 2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred Exposure to Lean Manufacturing techniques preferred

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field
- Experience with 2D CAD and/or 3D solid modeling
- Experience analyzing production times, crew sizes, workflows, time studies, and throughput
- Two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Metal manufacturing, powder coating, and material handling process improvement experience
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP
- Project management experience
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing techniques
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and promote continuous improvement
