Responsible for leading the development, optimization, and strategic improvement of manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, quality, and scalability across operations. This position serves as a technical leader, supporting cross-functional teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring alignment with company and customer requirements.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead development and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes, routings, and work instructions
  • Evaluate and approve manufacturability of complex engineering designs
  • Provide advanced technical support to production and resolve complex manufacturing issues
  • Lead and drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce cost, and improve throughput
  • Oversee and support new product introduction (NPI) initiatives across departments
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Programming, Quality, and Production leadership
  • Design and approve tooling, fixtures, and process improvements
  • Analyze production and quality data to drive strategic decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements (including ITAR as applicable)
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for complex production and quality issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction)
  • Mentor and develop Level I and Level II Engineers
  • Support departmental and organizational goals through leadership and technical expertise
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:             

  • Minimum of six years’ experience in an aerospace/aircraft machine shop or manufacturing environment
  • Advanced experience with CNC machining processes, production workflows, and process optimization required
  • Experience leading projects or process improvement initiatives required

REQUIREMENTS:       

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time as needed on the production floor
  • Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting
  • Must have reliable transportation and work overtime as needed
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Expert-level proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, and materials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Experience with ERP systems (JobBoss or similar) preferred
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
