Manufacturing Engineer III

Salary: $115,000-$135,000

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of Planning Control Points for major assemblies, coordinating subcontract requirements, and managing production processes. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee Control Point Flow for major assemblies, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in production processes.
• Coordinate Engineering / Subcontract requirements into BOMs (Bill of Materials) and CFE BOMs.
• Create and manage manufacturing work instructions and production orders for assembly, integration, and test operations of high value spaceflight hardware, EGSE, and MGSE.
• Approve and manage extensive Bills of Materials across multiple end items and next higher usages.
• Collaborate with YSS manufacturing facilities and key suppliers to ensure seamless design-to-build translation, resolve issues, improve processes, and mitigate risks.
• Support and implement Lean initiatives to optimize value and efficiency in operations.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert, representing the organization in resolving technical issues associated with specific projects.
• Review and analyze engineering drawings while serving as floor liaison support during production.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions, routings, product structure, and manufacturing BOMs within ERP / Oracle and Epsilon 3.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Proven expertise in managing Bills of Materials and experience coordinating production workflows across multiple end items.
• Solid knowledge of ERP / Oracle or other material management database systems.  
• Strong ability to interpret and analyze engineering drawings, procedures, and various engineering reports.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
• Ability to write reports, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver innovative solutions.
• Experience with risk mitigation, process improvement, and collaboration in multi-functional teams.
• 5- 10 years of experience

PREFERRED QUALIFITACTIONS

• Hands-on experience in supporting ERP /  Oracle and Epsilon 3, and space vehicle support initiatives.
• Track record of frequent inter-organizational collaboration and maintaining high standards of professionalism and communication.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to solve and navigate highly complex production and development challenges.
