Responsibilities:
Support the creation of detailed work instructions and process documentation.
Assist in the design and implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
Collaborate with design engineers to review product designs for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) .
Aid in the development and implementation of production tooling and fixtures.
Participate in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Must have been an SNC Summer 2026 Intern
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline.
0-2+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
Basic proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and process documentation.
Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Internship or cooperative education experience in manufacturing.
Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Exposure to the Aerospace and Defense industry.
Familiarity in applying and interpreting Geometric.
Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
Knowledge of industry standard design principles, to include, but not limited to, parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes.
Familiarity with work instruction/traveler development.
Participation in dispositions of Non-Conformance generation through a Material Review Board (MRB).
Experience with new product introduction and transition to production.
Exposure to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
Essential Functions:
Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
