SAIC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Associate to join our team supporting our DoD customers from our Indianapolis, IN location.
The Mechanical Engineering Associate will be responsible for engineering aspects of production including obsolesce mitigation, verifying products to technical drawings and interfacing with the engineering team to provide support to established and developing production processes.
Qualifications- REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering preferred. Will accept experience in lieu of a degree
- Strong abilities to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Understand and interpret Bills of Materials / Parts Lists
- Use of common office desktop software
- Good written and oral communications
- Must be a US Citizen - PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:
- Understands development to manufacturing processes
- experience in product life cycle (such as transition from development to production)
- PDM/PLM background a plus
