Your Responsibilities
As an ASSEMBLY MANUFACTURING ENGINEER for John Deere Thibodaux located in Thibodaux, Louisiana, you will be responsible for supporting assembly operations through Order Fulfillment Processes (OFP) and Product Delivery Process (PDP). In addition, you will:• Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) - improving Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Delivery through data driven proactive projects• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.• Apply mistake proofing methodology proactively to high-risk processes and recurring quality nonconformance issues• Develop and modify Operator Method Sheets (visual work instructions) as required• Support John Deere Assembly Assist Tool (JDAAT) and all manufacturing equipment in areas assigned• Develop & improve on plan for every part including specified locations for point of use parts & storage parts• Support multi-functional Quality Improvement Teams (QIT) tasked with improving overall assembly quality

What Skills You Need• Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience gained from educational projects, relevant internships or practical work experience.• Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality, tooling, preventative maintenance and facilities• 2 or more years of experience with engineering tools, systems and databases• 2 or more years of experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools

Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Operations discipline
