As a Manufacturing Engineer 1 based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, you will play a key role in bringing innovative medical technologies from concept to production. Working across cross functional teams, you will help develop robust manufacturing processes, improve product manufacturability, drive cost savings, and support the successful launch of products that positively impact patients' lives.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and implement manufacturing methods and processes for new and existing products

  • Partner with Product Development Engineers during the design phase to improve manufacturability and optimize cost and performance

  • Lead and support process development, validation, characterization, and continuous improvement activities

  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through process optimization, design improvements, and capital equipment projects

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, Tool Design, Tool & Die, Maintenance, and suppliers to establish efficient manufacturing solutions

  • Support risk management activities including risk analysis, evaluation, mitigation, and control

  • Create and refine manufacturing specifications, process documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements

  • Utilize statistical tools and data analysis techniques to evaluate process capability and performance

  • Manage multiple project priorities while contributing to new product introductions and manufacturing excellence initiatives

What will you need to be successful?

U.S. Sponsorship or H1B transfer is not available for this role.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other appropriate engineering or engineering technology fields.

  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in engineering to include the development of new processes, new products, product costs, cost reductions, capital justifications, and capital equipment acquisition.

  • GD&T knowledge/experience

  • Experience/knowledge with process characterization, analysis, control, and validation applying statistical tools (Six Sigma methodologies and experience)

  • Experience with Process Maps, FMEA, MSA and/or other risk analysis tools

  • Design experience - can be product, fixturing, gauging, tooling, etc.

  • Data analysis & critical thinking skills

  • Ability to adapt & learn quickly

  • Good written & verbal communication; responsiveness

  • Ability to work well within a team and relate to all levels within the company, and with suppliers

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft based applications such as, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and Project Product Lifecycle Management / Revision Control Software

Other Preferred Job Skills/Functions:

  • Process experience/knowledge with (all or some): machining of metals and/or plastic (e.g., lathe, mill, CNC, EDM, multi-axis equipment), casting, forging, grinding, finishing, assembly, etc.

  • Lean Manufacturing experience

  • Statistical Software (Minitab)

  • 3-D Solid modeling software experience (AutoCAD / Unigraphics / SolidWorks)

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Skills Required
