Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Admin Support Leader’s primary role is to provide administrative support to our production team(s). This role will work with all levels of the manufacturing site and influence the culture to instill servant leadership, and accountability within all levels for achieving site goals in People, Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Service. This role works cross-functionally with Supervisors, team members, and leadership, to ensure all business systems data and processes are maintained. This role will lead the production administration of hourly staffing, time and attendance, training, interview/selection, and proper onboarding of new hires. This role will collaborate with site leadership and human resources to create and maintain a bootmaker apprenticeship program for key positions in production.
Scope of job:
Individual contributor position with production level responsibilities related to system maintenance, staffing and training, administration of production policies, procedures, workflow, KPI attainment, time and attendance, training, and onboarding of new employees.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage production interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training of new hires, ensuring quality talent is attracted and retained.
- Ensure new hire retention and safely operating in our environment, via on-boarding check-ins, 30/60/90-day assessment, training, and development.
- Manage and maintain timekeeping for all hourly manufacturing employees in ADP, and adherence to attendance disciplinary actions.
- Develop and maintain an apprentice program for bootmaker key positions.
- Manage and expedite flow of work and material for production process, for orders lacking visibility on ERP.
- Develop/ leverage collaborative relationships to achieve work goals and promote a continuous improvement culture at the site.
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineer developing work instructions and quality visuals for boot-making manufacturing processes, train employees on work instructions, quality standards, and perform verification to ensure work instructions/quality of product are being followed and implemented properly.
- Collaborate with Industrial Engineer developing, monitoring, and updating Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Process flows, etc.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on performance and progress and present them to manufacturing leadership.
- Assist Supervisors in achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly objectives to ensure all performance goals are achieved through proper execution of performance metrics: Productivity, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Customer Service.
- Participate in shift start/end, production, quality, meetings communicating needed information for the business flow and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain a strong, collaborative, teamwork environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and/or Certifications:
- Associate degree in related field or relevant work experience
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
- Proven track record in Facilitating, Coaching and Training employees
