Advisory Services (SME/Analyst)
- Recognized internal and external SME; contributes expert SME to projects
- Engages in frequent public speaking and panel discussion forums as recognized expert across a diverse range of content areas
- Uses expert content knowledge to identify new areas for business growth and stewards these opportunities through successful implementation
- Uses understanding of complex account issues to problem-solve multi-dimensional policy and business interests
- Leverages content to identify and develop new business for existing and new clients
- Oversees multiple significant projects
- Stewards the Avalere brand, ensuring that content is relevant, clear, and accurate
Client Interaction
- Responsible for assigning and meeting substantial revenue targets for a significant line of business within a practice
- Meets team and personal revenue targets; drives team goal achievement
- Directs teams to ensure revenue and business development goals are achieved
- Participates in account goal planning meetings, using client and healthcare knowledge to contribute to action plans and identify staff to execute
- Demonstrates expert consulting acumen, deepening client relationships and anticipating client needs and impacts of healthcare landscape changes
- Responsible for robust opportunity pipeline; acts as primary point of contact for robust clients
- Identifies accounts for business development, creates plans for execution, and successfully closes new business
- Partners with Client Solutions as expert SME and trusted business partner
- Engages with clients in a high-touch manner through regular and substantive contact
- Uses content expertise and professional networks to identify new areas for business development
- Establishes new buying center relationships with existing clients through high degree of client cultivation
- Leverages high quality work to grow client relationships and opportunities
- Identifies innovative project work based on existing and potential client needs
- Ensures high customer satisfaction through delivery of quality work to foster strong and deep relationships with client contacts
- Directs efforts on robust accounts to ensure maximum account satisfaction
- Manages difficult and complex client situations to create strong business partnerships
- Acts as an expert negotiator, able to properly value Avalere’s work and to articulate that value to the client
- Responsible for project management engagement and oversight (see below)
Project Management
- Ensures excellent project management across project teams
- Responsible for team project profitability
- Approves SOWs
Management/Leadership
- Leads a significant tree of business critical to practice revenue attainment
- Responsible for growth, acquisition, and retention of talent as well as succession planning
- Provides opportunities for others to build professional relationships with clients
- Sets individual and team goals and holds staff accountable to them
- Creates and drives strategies for practice goal attainment
- Acts as a resource across the firm’s business development efforts
- Holds others accountable for sound fiscal decisions
- Takes lead on firm-wide initiatives, educating and inspiring staff
About you
- Advanced degree in public policy, public health, public administration, business, economics or related fields preferred with 10-15 years of work experience; 5 years of solid consulting experience; and, 5+ years of supervisory and leadership experience
