  • Work closely with the existing origination team to further expand our private equity relationships in the U.S.

  • Develop, maintain and institutionalize private equity relationships including supervising and reporting material fund raising, investment and portfolio activities.

  • Develop, maintain and institutionalize relationships with investment bankers, advisors, direct lenders and other intermediaries.

  • Contribute to all aspects of the due diligence processes, including screening, acting as underwriting deal team captain and portfolio management.

  • Present investment memos and amendment requests to Investment Committee.

  • Negotiate and review term sheets, credit agreements and associated legal documents for new transactions and amendments.

  • Assist with capital raising activities and special projects, as needed.

  • Provide mentorship to junior deal team members and originators.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • 12+ years of work experience in a credit or private equity related role. Strong preference for direct lending, private credit or equity investment experience in middle market companies.

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a top university required.  Advanced Degree (CFA, CPA, MBA) preferred

  • Fluent knowledge of current market terms and competitive landscape

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills

  • Team player, with exemplary work ethic and ability to work under pressure

  • Self-motivated, ability to multi-task and independently manage deadlines.

  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office and other relevant technology tools

  • Travel will be required and could be up to 50% domestic.

The salary range for this position in New York and California is $250,000 - $300,000 annually.  The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
