The Role

SEI’s Asset Management Unit is launching a dedicated Investment Product Commercialization team focused on driving adoption of SEI’s investment products across our platform and external distribution channels. To support this initiative, SEI is seeking a Head of Investment Product Sales who combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution—a true player/coach who thrives in the field and currently runs a territory.

This role reports to the Head of Investment Product Development and Activation and will lead a new sales team responsible for driving growth through advisor engagement, distribution partnerships, and go-to-market execution, with a primary focus on Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and Independent Broker/Dealers (IBD).

Success in this role requires close collaboration with SEI’s RIA Channel and IBD Channel Sales Teams to ensure alignment, leverage existing relationships, and deliver a unified client experience.

What You Will Do

  • Lead by Example as a Player–Coach: Actively manage a key territory across RIAs and Independent Broker/Dealers, engaging investment decision-makers (CIOs, investment teams) and advisors as appropriate, while demonstrating best-in-class relationship management and sales execution.

  • Set and Execute Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive investment product sales strategy across channels, aligned to SEI’s broader growth and commercialization objectives.

  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Investment Product leadership and Sales/Client Team leadership to ensure coordinated coverage, cohesive engagement, and strong field execution across channels.

  • Own Go-to-Market Excellence: Serve as a central conduit between product development, activation, and the sales organization—driving launch readiness, consistent messaging, advisor education, and disciplined execution.

  • Strengthen Distribution Impact: Expand relationships, identify new opportunities, and improve alignment between product, sales, and commercialization efforts to scale SEI’s investment product distribution.

  • Build and Elevate the Team: Recruit, coach, and mentor a high-performing Investment Product Sales team, setting clear expectations and developing talent to support long-term growth.

  • Represent SEI Externally: Act as a senior ambassador for SEI across industry conferences, panels, and councils, reinforcing SEI’s thought leadership and brand with advisors and industry partners.

What We Need From You

  • Proven experience as a sales leader who actively manages a book of business or territory, with deep relationships in the RIA and independent broker/dealer space.

  • Minimum of 10 years in investment product sales, distribution, or commercialization within the asset management industry.

  • Extensive knowledge of investment products, advisor distribution models, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong relationships with financial advisors and third-party platforms serving RIAs and independent broker/dealers.

  • Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams.

  • Ability to travel up to 70%.
