Lead end-to-end consulting engagements on capital management, including Basel III/IV compliance, RWA computations, FRTB, ICAAP/ILAAP, capital planning, stress testing and RAROC-based performance measurement. Advise executives on capital strategy and optimization, develop models and frameworks, deliver workshops, lead project teams, mentor junior consultants, and support business development and thought leadership in capital and balance-sheet management.

Key Responsibilities
Client
Engagement & Delivery:
- Lead or support end-to-end consulting engagements focused on
capital management strategies, including regulatory gap assessments (capital
/ RWA computations), implementation of Basel IV norms including FRTB,
capital allocation methodologies, and capital optimization initiatives.
- Advise clients on compliance with Basel III and upcoming Basel IV
frameworks, ensuring they meet both the letter and spirit of capital
adequacy requirements.
- Assist in implementation of CAPAD, ICAAP and risk based performance
measurement techniques (RAROC, RORWA) in risk solutions.
- Lead / Support the engagements around ICAAP review or
implementation which involves framework development, Pillar II risk
assessments, stress testing and capital planning.
- Design and implement robust capital planning, forecasting, and
stress testing frameworks to improve client institutions’ risk-adjusted
returns and resilience.
- Develop and refine models to evaluate capital requirements, cost of
capital, and the impacts of changing regulatory and economic environments.
Thought
Leadership & Advisory:
- Serve as a subject matter expert on capital-related topics, keeping
abreast of regulatory developments, market trends, and emerging best
practices in risk and capital management.
- Provide guidance to executive-level stakeholders (CROs, CFOs,
Treasurers, and Risk Committees) on strategic initiatives such as capital
strategy setting, RWA optimization, and funding diversification.
- Deliver high-impact presentations, workshops, and training sessions
to client teams on capital management approaches and solutions.
Team
Management & Development:
- Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring high-quality
deliverables, adherence to timelines, and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop junior consultants, providing hands-on coaching,
feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the firm’s service lines (risk
management, treasury, credit, compliance, technology) to develop
integrated solutions that address client challenges holistically.
Business
Development & Growth:
- Contribute to the firm’s go-to-market strategy in the capital
management domain, identifying client needs and evolving consulting
offerings.
- Support business development activities by participating in
proposal writing, client pitches, and thought leadership publications.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and
forge new client partnerships.
Requirements
Qualifications
& Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or
a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 2-8+ years of direct experience in capital management, ICAAP,
regulatory compliance (Basel III/IV), capital allocation, or related areas
within financial institutions or a consulting environment.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory capital frameworks, ICAAP, ILAAP,
and RWA calculations.
- Proven track record in managing end-to-end consulting projects or
leading internal strategic initiatives related to capital and balance
sheet optimization.
Preferred:
- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, PRM, or equivalent.
- Experience with capital stress testing, scenario analysis, and
advanced capital planning tools.
- Familiarity with related areas such as liquidity management, credit
risk modeling, market risk measurement, and treasury functions.
