Key Responsibilities
General

- Management of a portfolio of clients while building and maintaining strong relationships with new and established clients
- Assist in the production and presentation of proposals for new work
- Involvement in the recruitment and development of the team
- Carrying out and reviewing complex special work
- Day to day responsibility for people management and development, including:
- Providing regular and constructive feedback to build capability
- Motivational leadership
- Completion of performance review, 121s and probation reviews
- Overseeing development and any performance management within the team
- Development and running of internal training
- Reviewing and approving holiday and work programs
Business Development
- Actively seek out opportunities to develop and grow business across the firm
- Awareness of the wide range of Larking Gowen services and ability to spot opportunities to potentially sell those services
- Involvement in tender proposals with Partners/Directors
- Undertake external speaking
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of client’s businesses
- Maintain good working relationships with clients
- Take a proactive approach to advising clients on forthcoming regulatory changes
- Active involvement in office marketing events, when appropriate, acting as an ‘ambassador’ of the firm
Task Management
- Actively work with partners to deliver the strategic aims of the business
- Co-ordinate and communicate effectively across the Business team
- Work and liaise with other members of the Business team and colleagues in other parts of the firm as necessary to provide high quality client service
- Undertake development and talent reviews with members of the team
- Acting as a mentor for seniors and assistant managers
- Work with assistant managers to develop their specialist areas
Training
- Ensure compliance with all CPD requirements
- Proactively identify training requirements to assist with personal and team development
- Share experience with other departments to assist development of the firm as a whole
Other Responsibilities
- Adheres to the firm’s risk management policies and procedures
- Undertakes other duties to meet the demands of the business as required
Experience & Skills
Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)

- Significant post-qualified experience within practice
