Job Summary:

Title: Manager, Web Development 

Location: New York, NY (Full-Time, On-Site)

Reports to: Director, Digital Marketing & Strategy

The Role:

Roc Nation is seeking a skilled and motivated Web Development Manager to oversee the design, development, and optimization of our digital platforms. This person will lead web initiatives for Roc Nation and our robust roster of artists, athletes, and brands that enhance our brand presence, improve the user experience, and drive engagement.

The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital marketing, design, and data analytics, to build and maintain a world-class online presence for some of the most influential voices in entertainment. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end development and maintenance of Roc Nation’s websites, ensuring high-quality, user-centric design, seamless performance, and responsiveness across all devices

• Collaborate closely with marketing, design, content, and analytics teams to implement web-based initiatives, including campaign landing pages, client sites, e-commerce solutions, and more

• Manage front-end and back-end development efforts, prioritizing site performance, SEO best practices, and accessibility standards

• Oversee technical troubleshooting, ongoing updates, and enhancements for all web properties, ensuring optimal uptime and performance

• Implement robust tracking and analytics frameworks to measure engagement, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators, leveraging data to drive improvements and inform future strategies

• Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development, and introduce innovations that improve the digital experience for Roc Nation and our clients

• Manage domain registrations, renewals, DNS configurations, and SSL certifications to ensure site security, reliability, and alignment with brand standards

• Work closely with external vendors, agencies, and partners as needed to achieve project goals

Qualifications: 

• 4+ years of experience in web development with a strong portfolio of web projects, preferably within the entertainment or digital media industries

• Proficiency in front-end languages and frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue.js) and back-end development (Node.js, PHP, or similar)

• Experience with CMS platforms (i.e. WordPress, Webflow), Visual Editors (i.e. Squarespace, Wix), and e-commerce systems (i.e. Shopify, Magento)

• Knowledge of SEO, performance optimization, and best practices for accessibility

• Knowledge of implementing analytics tracking tools for tracking user behavior, site events and activity including Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM) for the management of tags and tracking pixels, and Google Search Console

• Knowledge of UI/UX Design: Prototyping, Wireframing (Figma, Adobe XD), and Accessibility (WCAG)

• Passion for entertainment, music, and digital innovation; previous experience working in the music or entertainment industry is a plus

• Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to execute under pressure, highly organized, and proactive

• A team player with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn
