Job Details

The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Manager supports coordination of the design, development, and maintenance of the TPRM program functions across all Cencora business units and affiliates.
This role supports the build out and maturity of the TPRM framework to ensure a common enterprise approach for the governance, development, execution, and sustainability of the overall program. The TPRM Manager is responsible for performing assessments and analyses to ensure that the company’s third party risks are properly identified, evaluated, mitigated, and monitored. In addition, this position will be responsible for the TPRM department’s use and enhancement of the enterprise TPRM tool.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Identify, measure, and report operational and Third-Party Risk Management risks
  • Support management of third-party risk onboarding and due diligence by ensuring appropriate risk assessments are completed
  • Supervise a team of associates responsible for day-to-day operations related to vendor onboarding, due diligence, contract management, ongoing monitoring, and terminations.
  • Support Vendor Service Owners with due diligence documentation and evaluation of third-party relationships.
  • Execute issue management end-to-end activities (issue identification, prioritization, assignment, remediation, closure) for matters pertaining to third parties
  • Ensure adequate, appropriate, and current third-party risk documentation is maintained in the Third-Party Risk Management Software System
  • Leverage the Third-Party Risk Management Software System as the system of record and as a reporting tool to analyze vendors for risk analysis
  • Consult with business leaders to effectively manage change when required
  • Provide risk oversight for process improvement projects, as needed.
  • Liaise with senior management and Third-Party Risk Management stakeholders.
  • Develop and oversee ongoing monitoring activities in alignment with TPRM policy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on various components of Third-Party Risk Management.
  • Assist in developing and facilitating training materials for the Third-Party Risk Management program.
  • Collaborate with other risk functions to support and advise in the development and implementation of risk mitigation controls.
  • Conduct quality control reviews on data and submissions by stakeholders.
  • Assist in creating and documenting procedures for departmental processes.
  • Maintain policies and governance documents related to the Third-Party Risk Management program.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of inter-dependent risk and related program policies, procedures, processes, systems, and internal controls.
  • Prepare reports and communicate risk findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Review contracts to ensure inclusion of required terms and conditions.
  • Work with management and stakeholders to ensure proper vendor termination procedures are in place and enforced.
  • Continuously refine the Third-Party Risk Management Program in response to emerging trends and evolving industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum of five (5) years of ERM, general risk management, and/or operational risk management experience. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in cross-functional roles within large, complex organizations, and/or management consulting experience. 
  • Possesses industry-recognized certification that demonstrates expertise in core job competencies (e.g., CTPRP, CRMP, ARM, etc.).(preferred but not required) 

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Strong analytical, technical, and computer skills in application of Microsoft Office tools; 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members and management, including solid teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills; 
  • Disciplined program, project, and time management, skills, with the proven ability to work in a cross-functional, matrixed, and diverse workforce environment; 
  • Ability to work effectively in remote, hybrid, and/or geographically dispersed environments, including multiple time-zones domestically and internationally; 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment; 
  • Ability to manage initiatives, lead work streams, and communicate effectively across multiple areas and levels of the organization while ensuring the security, confidentiality, and integrity of sensitive data; 
  • A self-starter, highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment; 
  • Detail orientated and disciplined to solve complex problems with the ability to resolve issues and drive solutions that create win-win situations; 
  • Demonstrated experience in a large-scale environment preferably within a highly regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceutical, financial services, etc.); 
  • Demonstrated program development experience, including designing processes, policies, standards, governance structure, and risk assessment methodologies, and facilitating risk management activities; 
  • Good business planning, analytical, and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions; 
  • Ability to establish credibility and serve as a trusted advisor, in order to mature and grow the ERM program, and achieve results.
