SUMMARY: MERGEFIELD "Summary" Develops and maintains revenue accountability through the management of a small group of sales professionals. MERGEFIELD "Summary" Develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of products and/or services. MERGEFIELD "Summary" Is the catalyst towards moving the maritime industry to more sustainable and solutions interiors.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: MERGEFIELD "General_Responsibilities" Leads sales team to deliver value added services. Acts as a liaison between field sales, and operations to resolve customer issues, foster customer relations, and develop new business. Work directly with customers to develop new business, champions pricing actions, proposal development and service contract negotiations. MERGEFIELD "General_Responsibilities" Subject matter expert in marine vessel design processes. Implement directives from management and responsible for advising management on issues. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging regulatory requirements. Convert technical and regulatory knowledge of the industry into a sale with multiple clients. Responsible for creating reports on existing design plans and procedures to advise on emerging sales cycles and opportunities in market . May confer with naval architects on various projects. Responsible for developing and responding to requests for proposals with input from technical team.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: MERGEFIELD "Education" Bachelor's degree in business, maritime industry or related area; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE: MERGEFIELD "Experience" 5 - 10 years sales experience.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: MERGEFIELD "Technical_Proficient" Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Access and Word.

COMPETENCIES: MERGEFIELD "Competencies" Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in various stages of completion that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to assess project risks and exposures; identify options and alternatives, make decisions and implement corrective actions, and communicate those decisions to senior management / customers. Ability to promote and build a team atmosphere, motivate team members in addition to function effectively as part of a team. Ability to organize, manage and lead at the project, program and portfolio level. Ability to plan, execute and control a project establishing realistic estimates and reporting metrics. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external business partners. Ability to evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives. Ability to prepare, monitor and administer budgets, as well as the ability to perform financial analysis. Ability to mentor, coach, train and/or supervise employees. Knowledge of project management, planning and cost control management. Knowledge of purchasing, procurement, budgeting and administrative management. Knowledge of and ability to apply the concepts, principles and practices of project designing, scheduling, estimating, planning, and inspecting. Knowledge of the concepts, principles and practices of marine, mechanical and/or chemical engineering in regards to the projects assigned. Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration for commercial and government customers as well as the ability to execute contracts in compliance with corporate guidelines and government regulations. JOB SCOPE: MERGEFIELD "Job_Scope" Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

WORKING CONDITIONS: MERGEFIELD "Working_Conditions" Works both inside an office environment and also outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
