As a Senior Manager, Technology Operations Support, you will be essential in providing enterprise services to ensure high levels of product availability for the customers and partners of American Express
Responsibilities- Mentor junior and cross-functional team of colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Resolve complex incidents and problems, leveraging cross-functional teams to implement robust solutions
- Architect and optimize technology service delivery processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency
- Oversee the maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of advanced and complex systems to ensure optimal performance
- Formulate and enforce policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain system integrity, security, and performance
- Lead large-scale application maintenance projects, including performance tuning, major enhancements, and comprehensive backup and recovery processes
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure the alignment of technology solutions with strategic goals
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies and industry best practices
- May or may not provide high-level leadership and strategic direction to the technology service delivery team, ensuring alignment with business objectives

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred. 8+ years of varied experience in software engineering or service delivery.
- Knowledge of distributed multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Knowledge of data structures and associated components to support complex system functionality
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and components like servers, Java Virtual Machines (JVMs), databases, and networking solutions
- Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) practice
- Experience in technology service delivery, application maintenance, or technical support
- Experience in recruiting, training, and developing senior-level team members
- Experience in managing large-scale, complex technical projects and delivering high-quality results
- Experience in leading the design and coding across multiple platforms and languages such as Java, HTML5, JavaScript, and .NET
- Experience in strategic planning and implementing technology service delivery enhancements
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

- Certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is a plus
