About the Role
As the Manager, Supply Chain & Inbound Logistics, you will be responsible for the full operation from purchasing through delivery to the warehouse. You will be involved in all projects and processes that are needed to make the Supply Chain & Inbound Logistics ‘Best in Class’.
All Supply Chain & Inbound Logistics activities contribute to the strategic growth plan of Harman Lifestyle Consumer North America. Aside from managing the team and all related processes, communication, continuous improvement, and best practice development are key elements of the Supply Chain & Inbound Logistics Manager role.
What You Will Do
- Lead and optimize supply planning operations, ensuring on-time delivery by aligning demand, manufacturing, and transportation.
- Drive, Challenge, and Align Inventory with key stakeholders in Sales, Finance, Procurement, and Product Marketing, resulting in an inventory plan that supports the organization's revenue objectives at the right time
- Manage the cost of inbound logistics to support customer fulfilment and proper financial planning, and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory and cost targets.
- Continuously partner with colleagues in Procurement, Marketing, Sales, and Demand Planning on New Product Introduction (NPI) and product phase-out schedules to ensure critical launch timelines are met
- Develop and execute Inbound Freight Forwarder and Procurement allocation to ensure continued diversity
- Oversee vendor management, including evaluation, risk assessment, contract compliance, and resolution of quality or service issues
- Drive process standardization and automation, and ensure, with the team, that all stakeholders, both internal and external, are supported in meeting their requirements. Develop new processes across the Supply Chain and Inbound Logistics functions to proactively resolve challenges for our customers
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Supply Chain role.
- Minimum of 3 years as a people manager.
- Highly proficient with ERP systems (ie, SAP, Oracle).
- Ability to work effectively within a high-growth, dynamic, fast-paced, and changing matrix environment.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Bonus Points if You Have
- MBA or Master’s Degree in Operations or related field.
- Experience with SAP ERP / APO / IBP and/or a similar ERP system
- Global experience collaborating with APAC suppliers and logistics partners.
- Knowledge of consumer electronics or other fast-moving product industries.
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 10%, both domestic and international.
- Be open to working in the Northridge, CA office (hybrid option available; flexibility to come into the office on short notice when needed is appreciated).
- Due to the nature of global infrastructure, you understand that flexibility in working hours is required.
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment (post-offer).
