We are building out our Finance team to help efficiently and effectively usher the company through stellar growth (300% CAGR and profitable) as we drive outcomes for tens of thousands students and teachers.
We're seeking a motivated and results-oriented Manager or Senior Manager of Finance to join our growing team. As our first finance hire, you'll play a key role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our accounting function, support prudent management through implementation of financial controls, and creating accurate reporting and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
The Role
As Manager / Sr. Manager, Finance, you will:
- Generate comprehensive financial reports, including P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, monitor costs, and recommend cost-saving strategies
- Manage the relationship with our external accounting firm, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements.
- Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Manage employee reimbursements and expense reports.
- Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts by forecasting revenue and expenses.
- Partner with leadership to create and maintain a budget aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial management role.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
