About Specialty Compliance & Ethics Team:
The Specialty Compliance & Ethics team manages state-level regulatory reporting for products sold across Walmart and Sam’s Club, including EPR, trash bag, NVOC, and embedded battery reporting requirements. The team ensures timely, accurate reporting while adapting to evolving regulations and maintains compliance across a complex regulatory landscape.What you'll do...
- Own execution of state-level regulatory reporting (EPR, NVOC, embedded battery, etc.), including data collection, validation, and submission
- Maintain and update legislation and reporting trackers; monitor regulatory changes and flag impacts to reporting requirements
- Prepare and submit filings to regulatory agencies in accordance with state-specific deadlines
- Collect and consolidate data from internal systems and suppliers; follow up on missing or incomplete inputs
- Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting datasets
- Identify data or process gaps and implement corrective actions to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and audit-ready records for all reporting activities
- Support regulatory audits and inquiries by preparing documentation and responding to information requests
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Sustainability, Merchandising, Sourcing, Suppliers, etc.) to obtain required data and resolve reporting issues
- Research proposed legislation and summarize potential business impacts for leadership review
- Proven experience executing regulatory reporting or compliance operations within complex organizational environments
- Strong ability to manage data collection, validation, reconciliation, and reporting with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience managing multiple reporting deadlines across diverse regulatory programs
- Demonstrated ability to identify data gaps and implement process improvements
- Experience developing and maintaining SOPs and audit-ready documentation
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across internal teams and external partners

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
