As the Solutions Sales Manager, you will build strong, strategic relationships with key stakeholders across the industrial and factory automation markets. You will serve as a trusted partner and customer advocate—both externally with clients and internally across Emerson—by developing a deep understanding of customer priorities and aligning Emerson’s solutions to help them achieve their goals. This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who excels at cultivating partnerships, driving growth, and representing the voice of the customer.
- Carry out and accelerate Solutions sales in Americas for Fluid and Motion Control Solutions in industrial and factory automation markets & achieve assigned sales targets
- Responsible to lead & grow large OEM, EPC, End User, Integrator, Channel relationships, and opportunities; currently selling into Fluid and Motion Control with the goal of getting our solutions specified and added to customer AML/AVLs, Instrument Specifications, Automation, Controls & Information Standards, and Machinery Specifications.
- Define target accounts, understand unmet needs for Solutions and define the solutions, which are repeatable and scalable
- Focus on Productize Solutions, which are repeatable and scalable and develop strategic growth plans in collaboration with District Sales Managers (DSMs)
- Ensure the sales team are provided with necessary training, tools, and materials to achieve competency to sell Solutions
- Provide necessary training to existing Premier Partners and Strategic Distributors on existing and newly defined Solutions.
- Collaborate with Strategic Business Unit (SBU) or design team on the new Solution ideas and roll out the new Solutions.
- Responsible for managing & monitoring Solutions pipeline in SFDC and tracking monthly pipeline progress
- Accountable for monthly Solutions orders forecasting & reporting
- Monitor market dynamics and trends, competition activities and landscape, as well as highlighting concerns and opportunities
- Track monthly win-cases and update the win-case depository. For Significant win-cases, work with sales team to prepare case studies for global reference.
- Assisting the marketing team with campaigns, activity planning, and execution.

You instill trust in the customers you serve and develop Win-Win situations for your customers and Emerson by having a strategic demeanor. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industrial sales experience
- 5 years of experience in industrial and factory automation markets
- Understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Word, Excel, Power Point and familiarity with CRM systems
- Technical proficiency with the ability to understand technical issues and troubleshoot problems
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel 40% with overnight and extended travel days within the assigned territory
- Legal authorization to work in the United States – visa sponsorship will not be provided
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related field
- Basic understanding of valves, valve automation, and controls
