What you will be doing in the role of Manager, 3-Day Social Marketing

Responsible for supporting overall Susan G. Komen social marketing strategy to support engagement and revenue goals. This will require someone who can work independently yet collaboratively with colleagues in various functions to tell Susan G. Komen's story. Additionally, must be experienced in social media content creation, an expert in platform-specific best practices and campaign analysis, with the ability to translate emerging digital trends into actionable plans. In this role, you will manage social channels for Komen's experiential events.

What you will bring to the table

  • Manage presence in social networking sites primarily related to 3-Day, MORE THAN PINK Walk, Race for the Cure, Pickleball and other experiential activities as needed, engaging in dialogue, stewarding fundraisers and answering questions where appropriate.
  • Responsible for managing content calendar as well as creating, editing and publishing frequent and daily social content that builds audiences, generates engagement and moves users to register for events and donate and/or fundraise.
  • Travels to all Komen 3-Day events and other events as needed to capture video, photos and stories for social media.
  • Shoots and edits event videos for use on social media according to the latest platform trends.
  • Updates Airtable with channel content and metrics.
  • Collaborates with experiential and other internal teams to align with messaging campaigns and goals.
  • Works with the digital, creative and social media teams to identify opportunities for audience and traffic growth across social platforms.
  • Focuses on optimization and channel growth through testing and data analysis to promote innovation and growth.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal business partners and actively seek out and develop content that inspires and motivates users to act, builds brand awareness, trust and consideration.
  • Ensure that Komen social media platforms provide a voice for the breast cancer community to be heard.
  • Stays current on emerging and competitive trends in the evolving social media and digital industry to provide new creative ideas for programs or platforms and opportunities to expand Komen's reach.
  • Reports both weekly, monthly and quarterly including move forward recommendations.

We know you will have and be able to

  • Experience with all social media platforms.
  • Specific experience with production and deployment of Instagram reels and stories.
  • Specific experience with TikTok, including an understanding of video production for best completion rates as well as trends in audio and video appropriate for non-profit accounts.
  • Skilled in asset creation and video editing tools, such as Canva and Capcut.
  • Experience utilizing social management and monitoring tools such as Sprout.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and understanding of analytics tools.
  • Proactive, collaborative and positive strategic thinker, willing to take smart risks and lead initiatives with confidence and tasks to completion.
  • Strong organizational and data input skills, attention to detail, creativity and ability to think outside the box.
  • 5 years of social media experience required to effectively perform the job's responsibilities.
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in related field.
  • In addition to the qualifications above the successful candidate should have:
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Travel requirements required outside of your home office will be up to 30% or more depending on our business needs.

Approximate salary $56,000 to $75,000/annually, exact compensation ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity and budget. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's skills, experience and geographic location.
