The Manager, Social Commerce Store is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s presence and sales on social commerce platforms. This role involves overseeing product listings, promotions, and campaigns across social channels, driving traffic, engagement, and sales conversions within social media ecosystems. The Manager, Social Commerce Store will work closely with marketing, merchandising, and e-commerce teams to ensure that the social commerce strategy aligns with broader business objectives, leveraging data and trends to inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Social Commerce Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement the social commerce strategy for consumer goods, driving brand visibility, engagement, and sales across social platforms (e.g., Instagram Shops, Facebook Marketplace, TikTok Shop).
    • Align social commerce activities with overall e-commerce, digital marketing, and merchandising strategies.
  2. Product Listing and Merchandising:
    • Manage product catalogs and listings across social commerce stores, ensuring accurate, compelling, and up-to-date product information, images, and pricing.
    • Collaborate with digital merchandising and product teams to optimize product displays, ensuring consistency across channels while tailoring listings for specific platform audiences.
  3. Campaign and Promotion Management:
    • Plan and execute social commerce-specific campaigns, promotions, and product launches to drive sales and engagement within social media environments.
    • Collaborate with social media marketing teams to integrate paid and organic campaigns with commerce efforts, maximizing reach and conversion potential.
  4. Customer Experience Optimization:
    • Ensure a seamless shopping experience within social platforms, optimizing for ease of navigation, product discovery, and checkout.
    • Work with customer service teams to resolve issues and provide support for social commerce shoppers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  5. Data Analytics and Reporting:
    • Use social commerce platform analytics (Instagram Insights, Facebook Analytics, TikTok Analytics) and e-commerce data to track performance, monitor KPIs (e.g., sales, engagement, conversion rates), and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide insights and regular reporting to senior leadership on the effectiveness of social commerce efforts and campaign performance.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with e-commerce, digital marketing, and product teams to ensure alignment on inventory management, promotions, and merchandising strategies.
    • Collaborate with influencers, brand ambassadors, and social media managers to enhance the reach and impact of social commerce initiatives.
  7. Influencer and User-Generated Content (UGC) Integration:
    • Work closely with influencer marketing teams to develop partnerships that drive traffic and sales through social commerce channels.
    • Integrate user-generated content (UGC) into social commerce listings and campaigns, leveraging authentic content to build trust and drive engagement.
  8. Trend Monitoring and Platform Optimization:
    • Stay current with the latest social commerce trends, platform updates, and best practices to continuously improve performance and identify new opportunities for growth.
    • Experiment with emerging social commerce features (e.g., live shopping events, shoppable videos) to drive innovation and enhance the brand’s presence on social platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, social media, or e-commerce, with specific expertise in managing social commerce stores for consumer goods brands.
  • Strong understanding of social commerce platforms and tools (e.g., Instagram Shops, Facebook Shops, TikTok Shop, Pinterest).
  • Proven experience in developing and executing social media-driven commerce strategies that drive engagement and conversions.
  • Familiarity with product information management (PIM) systems, e-commerce platforms, and social media management tools.
  • Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret social and e-commerce metrics to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across teams.
  • Experience with influencer marketing and UGC integration for e-commerce is a plus.
