About the role:
Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced tax specialist with M&A Tax experience to join our Corporate Tax team in Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside highly regarded Partners and tax specialists on complex M&A transactions across a diverse client base. The role offers exposure to technically challenging advisory work, strategic client engagements, and the opportunity to play a key role in the growth of our M&A Tax offering.
You will be responsible for:
- Advising clients on M&A transactions, including transaction structuring and tax due diligence in conjunction with Partners and other tax specialists.
- Advising clients on complex tax technical matters in relation to transactions and corporate restructuring, including research and analysis of legislation and case law across areas such as international tax, tax consolidation, thin capitalisation and debt deduction creation rules.
About you:
You are a technically strong tax professional with experience advising on M&A transactions and complex corporate tax matters within a professional services or corporate environment.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience with M&A transactions
- Strong technical knowledge across corporate tax and transaction-related tax issues.
- Experience conducting tax due diligence and advising on transaction structuring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management capability.
- Previous experience mentoring or leading team members.
- CA, CTA, Master of Tax or equivalent qualifications (completed or near completion).
