Gilead Japan K.K. started HIV business by taking back Gilead portfolio from Japan Tabacco in 2018 followed by Biktarvy® launch in 2019 and expand the business.

Currently Gilead Japan K.K. commercializes Biktarvy® and other HIV products, Biktarvy® plays key role in HIV treatment practice in Japan.

Several other treatment options are under development to meet PWH’s unmet needs, breakthrough medicine for prevention is developing as well, Gilead continue to contribute toward the end the HIV epidemic.

Job Description

Gilead Sciences Japan is seeking a professional capable of managing omnichannel approach by linking quality promotional materials and programs through digital in HIV diseases area. This individual is a full- time employment in the HIV & COVID-19 Business Unit and report to HIV marketing department head.

In this level of individual contributor develop and execute digital marketing strategy to meet individual customer needs. Giving feedback to the marketing franchise to run PDCA cycle which is in line with product strategy and tactical plans.

You will also play a key role in communicating and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure the best channel mix in omnichannel strategy, and closely work with cross functional team including Product Managers, Sales, MA, Commercial operations and other related internal teams. Managing external vendors located in Japan to achieve enterprise goal is also in scope.

Key Responsibilities

• To maximize HIV business by accelerating customer engagement through digital, develop digital marketing strategies and digital communication plans in alignment with the HIV POA based on market environment analysis and customer insight analysis
• Execute digital strategy/tactics and run PDCA cycle and provide various recommendations within the BU
• Lead Leapfrog project in BU, collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders(ex. Commercial operations, Global) to maximize omnichannel communication with customers
• Actively seek for the next innovations utilizing AI in commercial practice, challenge to introduce them
• Participates in POA tactical planning in a proactive manner
• Closely work with HIV members and xFunctional members in an effective manner
• Makes consistency of those tasks described above with GSJ’s business compliance

Requirement (Education, Knowledge, Experience, Competencies and Skills)

• More than two years of practical experience in pharmaceutical-related digital marketing(e.g., pharmaceutical companies, healthcare-related companies, advertising agencies)
• Knowledge and operational experience required for planning and executing digital marketing strategies (Web, email, social media, etc.)
• Skills in utilizing customer digital access log measurement tools, analyzing data, and planning effective actions based on insights
• Has strong ambition to foster Biktarvy® as the best product & optimal treatment option to most of the people living with HIV
• Has strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on time management, follow-through, and issue resolution abilities
• Has excellent communication skill and ability to influence and motivate people without direct authority
• Has ability to learn HIV science & history with high quality
• Demonstrates strategic thinking skills with ability to anticipate issues and impact on related areas

• Possess MR/MSL/Marketing experience in HIV or Viral treatment areas
• Has good experiences with interpersonal skills and ability to interact with individuals from a variety of departments.
